縁起を担ぐの語源、良い武器を担ぐ、備えあれば憂いなし

「縁起を担ぐ」の本来の意味は現在
の用法とは違うようです。「担ぐ」は
「手作業」です。慣れない武器よりは
「使い慣れた」武器が「使い易い」で
しょう。野球のバットやゴルフのクラブ
と同じでしょう。「良い武器」を「担ぐ」
事は「備えあれば憂いなし」と同じだと
推測されます。
